On a series of napkins in a bar somewhere on West Broadway in Tribeca, the idea for Rocketlight Films was born. The rocket team creates high-end ad content for Sony, VSCO, Nike, Deep Focus, SimplyBe, the NFL, General Motors, Louis Vuitton, Style 360, Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. Their work has been featured on Vogue.com and Fader Magazine. As a film company their work has been invited to Santa Barbara International Film Festival, HBO Latino NY, Urban World, Festival de Cannes, New Filmmakers LA, and the San Diego International Film Festival to name a few. Our team is community minded and involved in educational outreach programs. We are a diverse group and promote and support diversity efforts. In keeping with that effort we have active creative involvement in the following organizations: The National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP), the NAACP, the Carlos Lezama Archives & Caribbean Cultural Center, the NY Women in Film and Television, and the WGAe Diversity Coalition.
Taylor-Roberts is an award winning director and writer. Her films have collectively screened at prestigious film festivals that include Cannes Film Festival, Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Sundance, San Diego Film Festival, and in a showcase on HBO Latino. She has participated in the NALIP's Women of Color Lab and Sony Television’s Diverse Directors Program. Her scripts have advanced in the Sundance International Screenwriters Lab, and landed placement as semi-finalist in the Made in New York Writer’s Room and the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition.
An '03 alumna of Northwestern University's Film Program an '09 alumna of Columbia University School of the Arts, MFA Film Program, Taylor-Roberts got her professional start apprenticing with film and commercial directors at Smuggler and Tool of North America. Nikki directs interstitials, commercials, and branded content and writes and produces television. She is developing several features and episodic shows. Her debut feature screenplay A Girl from Haiti, won the Grand Prize in the We Screenplay Diverse Voices Competition, supported by ARRAY. This film will be her directorial debut.

Life is a marathon and Augustus-Tremaine Romeo (Tre-USA) has been jogging through the streets of Brooklyn from birth. Romeo is as a jack of many trades. He is an actor, a writer, a director, a producer and a fashion influencer whose sense of style has made him a prominent force in in men's fashion. At the age of fifteen Romeo, pursued a career in stand-up comedy, yet somehow ended up in the fashion industry. Romeo is a Brooklyn-born filmmaker and the co-founder of the award-winning ad agency We Are Not Pilgrims.
Romeo’s influence has helped form strong collaborations with various creative agencies that also include Street Etiquette. Romeo shot a music video for artist DJ KittyCash that was featured on Vogue.com, His short film “Slumflower” screened at the Cannes Short Corner. Recently Rome was appointed as the Creative Director of the Carlos Lezama Archives & Caribbean Cultural Center. Tremaine is the collaborative force behind The Magic Hour Series — a salon night that showcases emerging filmmakers.
